Friend of mine that lives next to the park says, "People die at that park lol. The hood name for that park is literally called 'the hump'" so I guess you should proceed with caution.

Nice little park for a variety of things to do outdoors like basketball, tennis, track, swing/jungle gym, open field for pets to run/play, and more. It's currently my favorite workout site.

This rather sizable South Toledo Park includes a number of features, including an updated sign, a full basketball court with metal stands, two tennis courts, a swingset, a playground, a handicap-accessible portable toilet, a rentable open-air shelter with nine metal picnic tables (dedicated to former Toledo City Councilwoman Wilma Brown), a wooden bench, two open picnic areas with a total of seven metal picnic tables and one wooden picnic table, four charcoal grills, and seventeen metal trash cans. Additionally, in the back area two large former baseball diamonds and two sets of wooden stands in fairly bad shape, as well as a cricket pitch created in 2019 that sits in the spaces between them. Despite the large number of available trash cans, quite a bit of trash was left on the ground, and I even saw a number of tires dumped by some overgrown plants near the baseball diamonds. It appears as though they're is a badly damaged paved entrance from nearby Arklow Drive into the park where these reside. A well-paved walkway wins throughout the park, making it attractive to walkers. There is a decent-sized parking area at the front of the park off Hill Avenue featuring 17 regular spaces

Grass was nicely cut Park is kept very neat and clean lots of room to move around and play

Nice park. Long and skinny. Much bigger than it looks from the road. Basketball and tennis courts appear to be in very good condition. Main walking trail of about 0.4 miles is also well maintained. Small playground with 2 playscapes in the toddler/ young child range, and a couple swings. They have a couple BBQ grills, but those so not look like they have held up well to the weather. The softball fields/backstops look serviceable if a little underutilized. Overall, a surprisingly nice little spot to while away a bit of free time.
